Video Disco: A Flock of Seagulls - Space Age Love Song

There was a time period where people ripped on A Flock of Seagulls for the way they dressed, their music, and their hair.  Those times have passed... at least two of those items.  This is a classic example of the New Wave band from the height of their popularity in the early 80's.  Flock was one the most successful new wave bands to incorporate the use of the electric guitar as the lead in their music.  Not many new wave bands of the period used the guitar as the lead instead relying on the synthesizer (which can be found on this track as the bass line).  And they even made the US Billboard Top 10 with this album.  Only a handful of new wave bands can make that claim.

People of my generation will most likely recognize Flock's "I Ran" as the theme song to anything 1980's related (see: GTA Vice City, numerous throw back tv shows that have incorporated it, amongst other things).  This song is simple and great.  Enjoy!
